I’m Worth It

I miss my friends and loved ones who are no longer in my life anymore. I realize they are gone probably forever, there is a greater divine purpose for it, I may not know why but I know it is for the better. Some came into my life unexpectedly, and others were taken away unexpectedly. The sad truth is, is that people take you for granted, and when they are long gone it is too late to rectify your mistake. What you can do is try learning to appreciate them for who they are and for what they bring to the table. A successful relationship will function happily and healthily by both parties putting effort into it to make it flourish. That is if they both want it to work, and to continue to grow.

It is a new era we live in where people can easily get the attention they want from just about anybody, which can be dangerous. Why do we put ourselves in vulnerable situations? You know what you want, you are a grown mature adult, you are not a kid anymore looking to play games. I’m so tired of fake people, tired of demanding what I should be getting because I deserve better, tired of the nonsense of my feelings not being valued enough, tired of not being the strong willed person I know I am to say no, just to please others. Well, sooner or later everything will come to light, the people who are not genuine with their intentions will leave. The loved ones who you have in your life today, supporting you, eventually you will learn to care about them. You will crack open like an oyster and see everyone for what they’re worth. You’ve been delicate far too long already. Not because you think you deserve better, but because pain will be your teacher, and pain is a blessing in disguise. Without pain how will you appreciate the good and the joy life has to offer?

Do not allow people treat you like you don’t matter because you do, you have a voice, you have feelings, you have needs and wants, you are only human. It is your right to ask for what you are entitled to. Never let anyone steal that away from you, do not lower your standards either, because you are beautiful, you are loved in so many ways and how you feel is important and it matters.
